Then I re-read the 2010 state mangement post released last week and came across an interesting data point ? Executives are overwhelmingly positive about social approaches with 59% perceived as either ?cautiously optimistic? or ?enthusiastic? about it.I tend to ask myself?exited? About what? Molding itnto a social company is a lot more than just common emotions, can we agree on that?? It?s fantastic that 68% of many organizations are indeed hiring managers, Let me ask you this, what skills do they really have to bring to the table?? Are they devoted to really solve customers problems or are they just keeping peoploe in line?
Let us recap these ideas for a breif second. We are living in an era where every celebrity is using Twitter, Even the terrible ones. Every news company, every internet channel and tv channel are using social media to report and broad cast the news(Egypt, Iran, Japan, etc.) Most high tier companies are in fact taking advantage of social media very heavily; but there are not any policies for engaging it in all businesses?
A study published by Emakreter gives me a litle bit of hope; They reported in a famous study that over 50% of companies that wree participating in their study is using internation social media regarding the use of social i.e. responding to negative/positive comments and general use of social media.
The social media guidlines in companies are abosultye a step towards the future of media, marketing and adervtising; there is much more to consider in building social ? as a student ? social media must be incorporated into empoyees daily work sceduales. The leadrship of the organization is responsible for bringing this change about in a company. And, it involves much more than just creating a formal document and posting it online somewhere. Leaders need to set the example and even live it themselves, we need collaboration between different coworkers, groups will promote this in companies and promote these policies into the work place. Only then, will organizations realize the true business value of employees engaging externally on the social web.
