Question by Melyssa A: Steps to becoming a Commercial Real estate Appraiser in Texas?
I am interested in starting a career in Commercial and residential appraisal. I am confused though as to what steps that I should take to get there. I was wondering if there was someone from Texas that could please tell me step by step what I should do. I know that I have to be a trainee but, I am confused as to what to do. I am going to do my classes though www.careerwebschool.com this online school was recommended by the college in my town. If someone could please give me steps that I would need to take I would appreciate it. Thank you so much!

Once you have completed your classroom hours, you need to find an accredited appraiser that will let you work under them to get your field hours. This can be a bit difficult to find as they can view you as competition once you?ve completed, and therefore don?t want to ?teach their future competition?. What would be good is if you could work under someone who is in another town so that they know you won?t be working their same area once you are on your own.
